The good folks at ComX asked me to join them in their session. Great fun!
And here’s the pic I drew.
This year, I shared a table with the esteemed Brad Pickersgill. Great fun!
Done!
tbh I was doing it this year to force myself to draw. I pretty much haven’t drawn since last Inktober which, for me, was the driest spell I’ve ever had.
So I approached this with a little more gusto than previous years.
I also set myself the challenge of drawing no pop culture references.
I was privileged to be on the Killeroo table at this year’s Brisbane Supanova and sit in Supastar row between Darren Close (Killeroo) and Jamie Johnson (The Phantom).
Even though I was somewhat dwarfed by these talents, it was a great experience to watch them strut their stuff!
Here’s a report on TooCon by WIN News Toowoomba.
I get a cameo and say words and stuff! Somehow, full sentences were strung together.
A huge thank you to everyone I saw at TooCon yesterday! It was a massive drawing day – I barely put down my pen the entire time (I even remembered to take photos of some). An even bigger thank you to Angela and the team for bringing it all together!
OzComics – Australian Comics week.
Bipp and Trax are the creation of the awesome Daniel Watts!
First of all: a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the comic!
– everyone I’ve chatted with at cons, fairs and such
– the rather grand contributors to Issue 3
– the stores who proudly stock local comics
– the good folk at ownaindi
– all those who’ve provided reviews and publicity (something I’m terrible at), and
– to YOU, obviously. You’re reading this post, read the comics and are still here. Thank you!
I try to have a bit of a gap between issues, to charge the battery and (more importantly) ensure my family still talk to me. But it’s 2018 and Issue 4 won’t write itself, so it’s back at it!
Here’s hoping you all have a great year!
Cheers.
